Overview :
Borivali is a suburb located in the north of  Mumbai. This region is divided into Borivali East and West by the central railway line. NH 8 commonly known as the Western Expressway which connects Mumbai with Delhi passes through this locality. Borivali, Borivali West, Dahisar East and Kandivali West are its neighbouring localities. It is one of the major neighborhoods of Mumbai. Borivali is the only neighborhood in Mumbai which has a forest on the east (Sanjay Gandhi National Park) & mangrove forests in Gorai, in the west. Borivali railway station is a railway station on the Western line of the Mumbai Suburban Railway network. Dahisar river is passing through the middle of the locality. Social amenities include hospitals, schools, colleges, cafes, restaurants, parks and shopping malls also located in the vicinity. The region is served by the Suburban Railway Network.

Connectivity and transit points :
This locality is  well connected by road and Rail.  It is surrounded by Shiv Vallabh Road, Vrindavan Road, Sant Dnyaneshwar Road which further connects to the Western Express Highway.


It has excellent connectivity to Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport which is located at a distance of 17 km via Western Express Highway.

Dahisar, Borivali, Kandivali, Malad, Goregaon and Mira Road are nearby railway stations to Borivali East. However, Borivali is the nearest railway station located at a distance of 1.9 km via Mahatma Gandhi Road.
