Chandapura is a Town Municipality Council. The area is around 6 km from Electronic City on NH 7 widely known as Hosur Road. The locality has seen rapid urbanisation due to proximity to Electronic City and Jigani Pharmacy Hub, Attibele Industrial  area, Hosur SIPCOT, Sarjapur Road IT Development.

There are BMTC as well as volvo buses (356 V)from Majestic to Chandapura

Chandapura has a railway station which connected to Bangalore City and states like Kerala and Tamil Nadu.

Phase II of Bangalore City Metro has already got Bommasandra neighbourhood of Chandapura circle included in the rail network and it is expected to be operational from 2017 to 2022
