Hi all..i heard about the Nandigram issue...This project in Kolkata marked the foray of Indonesian Salim Group into the state but they left after the severe violence occurred in Nandigram.

Yes supratim..it is the same project..KWIC project is an international satellite township development across 390.2 acres. The project plan was to build 6,100 bungalows, three IT parks and other amenities such as schools, hospitals and shopping malls.

Hi Lokesh and Manohar..can you give me details of Kolkata West International City project..?? What is the main aim behind this project..?? Is this the same project because of which firing occured in Nandigram..??

Hi Lokesh..but the Chief Minister of West Begal has decided to give the last piece of land to the Kolkata West International City project. And the customers and president of KWIC Buyers’ Welfare Association are not happy with the decision of the government .

Hi Deepak..KWIC project is into legal cases for missing deadline. Customers of KWIC have filed a case against the project promoters who failed to deliver the residential units on time.The customers were promised to get to move in flats in 2008 but the construction work at the sites did not even start by that time.
