It is said that Bangalore consumes 1.5 tmcft of water in a month and 18 tmcft in a year. People who are drawing water illegally without meters affects regular supply and they should regularize their connections.
The board had recorded 7.15 lakh connection in the city but recently BBMP had recorded that a growth of over 16 lakh property owners which meant that a huge percentage of this population would be drawing water illegally. BBMP is planning to conduct a drive to disconnect all those illegal water connections latest by March 15.
