Guys.. instead of trying to improve service and facilities, the authority is looking to make more & more profit. No wonder they may rise rates within a month or two again.
Without even giving prior notice, they raised rates.. At present, from the New Delhi Metro station to Terminal 3 of the Delhi Airport will cost Rs 150 per person, while that to Dwarka Sector 21 will come to Rs 180. Even the rate of Metro monthly pass has also been increased by Rs 300 to travel between New Delhi and Dwarka. Each pass allows 45 trips in a month.
Last time, the fares were increased by 50 %.. This time by Rs 30. Metro commuters got angry with the sudden hike of fares. They claimed that high increase in fares, particularly twice in such a short span of time is a commuter-unfriendly move.
Within just two months time, twice the fare structure of Delhi Airport Metro Express has been revised.. This time it has increased the fares by Rs 30.. I think this is their only source of revenue, so they keep on grabbing from the public.
