Yes ..Groundwater contamination due to these metals can be linked to kidney diseases in Nellore, Prakasam and Srikakulam districts. To confirm this, a research is ongoing to find whether these metals are triggering kidney disease or not.

Hey i heard that silicon and strontium was also found in groundwater. But these metals were not mentioned in the report prepared by the ground water board.

The report said hat nitrate has been found above the permissible limit in groundwater of 23 districts and high content of fluoride in ground water of 20 districts except East Godavari, Nizamabad and Srikakulam.
Content of iron was also found above the permissible limit in groundwater of 15 districts including Hyderabad, Ranga Reddy and Visakhapatnam.
