Overview

Gota is a well-developed suburbs situated in the north of Ahmedabad. New Sarkhej Ghandhi Nagar highway developed and Gota got connection with Highway which brings different infrastructure companies started investing in it and building new apartments and housing. Now it is in the center of the city. It comes under the jurisdiction of Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation. It is well connected by buses and public transports. School, bank, ATM and hospital are available nearby the locality. Strategically located on the Sarkhej-Gandhinagar Highway and well versed in terms of public transport. It is also being termed as the new “Satellite City” of Ahmedabad. Further, the presence of Schools, colleges, hospitals, banks/ATMs, and entertainment avenues add to the social infrastructure section. It is a residential cum commercial area in Ahmedabad city. Other prominent localities situated close to Gota are Vasant Nagar, Janta Nagar, New Ranip, Chandlodia, Ognaj, Chandkheda, Sabarmati, Motera, Ghatlodiya among others. It has close proximity to Ahmedabad City which is located at a distance of 10.9 km via Pramukh Swami Maharaj Marg and Chandlodia Road. It is well connected by buses and public transports. Residential properties are available in the range of Rs 2900-3950 per sqft. Due to its proximity with Thaltej, Prahladnagar, SG Highway, the area is developing fast.

Connectivity
The transport network is mainly operated by Ahmedabad Municipal Transport Services (AMTS) and Bus Rapid Transit System (BRTS) buses. These buses are the popular means of transport for the people visiting the locality for business and shopping purpose.

Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International Airport which is located at a distance of 13.4 km via Airport Road.

Chandlodiya, Chandkheda Road, Ambli Road, Sabarmati, and Sabarmati Junction are its nearby railway stations. However, Sabarmati is the nearest and key railway station to Gota, situated at a distance of 6.7 km via Chenpur Road.

Gota Housing, Gota Cross Road, Zila Shikshan Talim Bhavan, Vasanth Nagar Township etc are nearby bus stops to Gota.

Factors for past growth

The cost of land is very less in Gota, as compared to areas like Prahlad Nagar, Thaltej, etc. This resulted in low development cost and hence, the affordable schemes are plenty in this area, attracting people from the middle-income group.

Gota is attracting not only the end users but also investors, who prefer to buy property in the area, as it may give a good return on investment in the long run due to growing population and increase in number of investors in the city.
