Konanakunte is a suburb located in South Bangalore. This locality comes under the limits of the BBMP. It was primarily an agricultural area but is now being transformed into an urban zone. It once known as the sleeping village on the city’s outskirts known only for farming and underemployment is today a sprawling locality with people of various origins making it their home. Prominent localities located close to Konanakunte are Suprajanagara, Anjanadri Layout, Munireddy
Layout, Udgir, Doddakallasandra, PNB Layout, Ayyappa Nagar, Narayana Nagar 1st Block, Kailash Nagar, Eshwara Layout, Hari Nagar 8th Phase. All the daliy basic amenities are located within stone throw away distance.

Connectivity :
Konanakunte has excellent connectivity to Kempegowda International Airport which is located at a driving distance of 46 km which can be covered in 1 h 40 m.
There are two main road passes through the locality Kanakapura Road and Amruth Road which further has access to Chunchgatta Main Road. Major bus stops in the locality are Narayana Nagar, Doddakallasandra, Gubbalala Cross, Thippasandra and Raghuvanahalli cross etc.
Bangalore Cantonment Railway Station, Bangalore East Railway Station, Banaswadi Railway Station and Hebbal Railway Station are close to this locality. However, Bangalore Cantonment is its nearby Railway Station.

Factors for future growth :
This locality has experienced a great deal of development in terms of infrastructure and urbanization along with major IT Parks such as JP IT Park, Brigade Software Park, Harita IT Park, Rajajinagar IT Park and Software Technology Park resulted in the rapid improvement of the area and the development of a number of commercial and business activities.
Proposed Namma Metro project Phase-2 with one of its route Puttenahalli – Anjanapura (6.29), once completed will become much more easily accessible.
