Kumaraswamy Layout

Overview :

Kumaraswamy Layout is situated in South Bangalore and is located adjacent to Banashankari. The locality is divided into two stages and the first stage being the largest. The area has many parks and they are well maintained by the Bangalore Development Authority. Kumaraswamy Layout houses famous Kannada writers like Sri B.S.Keshava Rao, Sri Jayanta Kaykini and Sri A.N.Prahlada Rao. The area is surrounded by ISRO layout, Vasanthapura, Vitthal Nagara, Teachers Colony etc.

Connectivity :

Kumaraswamy layout is easily accessible by Bangalore Metropolitan Transport Corporation (BMTC) buses.Kumaraswamy Layout 2nd Stage is 8.46 km from Kempegowda Bus Station ( Majestic Station )

Namma Metro, once operational, Banashankari Metro Station will be the nearest point to reach Kumaraswamy Layout.

Kempegowda International Airport is located at a distance of 43.8 km via Bellary Road.

Bangalore City Junction railway station is 10 km via KR Road. KR Puram railway station is around 19 km via Swamy Vivekananda Road.

Factor for growth :

The area comes under BBMP and recently has seen development. It has seen substantial population for long term and the area is rapidly growing in terms of real estate.

Infrastructure :

Kumaraswamy layout is also an educational hub surrounded by many reputed colleges such as Dayananda sagar Institutions,Delhi Public school South,Alpine School, Atma Darshan Yogashram, the southern branch of the Bihar School Of Yoga is also located here.

Metro Mall is located nearby and all other shopping destinations such as Jayanagar 4th Block and Gandhi Bazaar are close by.

Prominent hospitals like Sagar hospital have opened their branch here.

Major Challenges :

The park near 15E bus stand is like a mini forest because of the overgrown trees.

There are no public toilets available near Kadirenahalli petrol bunk junction.

The legal authority is not clearing the dry waste.
