Overview :
Motera, located in the northern part of Ahmedabad known as the luxury hub for the cities of Ahmedabad and Gandhinagar. It was earlier a part of the Gandhinagar District. Now, it comes under limits of Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation in the Daskroi Taluka. It is a suburban neighbourhood in the area of Sabarmati near Chandkheda in the North-West region of the metropolitan city of Ahmedabad. It lies on the West side of the Sabarmati River. It falls under the West Zone of Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation. The chief attraction in Motera is the Sardar Patel Cricket Stadium. Chandkheda, Sabarmati, Ranip, Naroda and, Tragad are its neighboring localities. The location of Motera is very favourable as it doesn't face traffic woes being on the periphery of Ahmedabad. It is connected with the 6 lane Visat-Gandhinagar Highway, starting from Visat and ending at Infocity, Gandhinagar. The prestigious Knowledge Corridor is also located off the Visat-Gandhinagar Highway, a few km ahead of Koba Circle on the way to Gandhinagar. Sardar Patel Gujarat Stadium (Motera Stadium) is one of the premier cricket stadiums of India in the Motera locality of Ahmedabad.
Connectivity :
It has excellent connectivity to Ahmedabad International Airport, is located in Hansol, approx 7.5 km via Airport Road and Gandhinagar-Ahmedabad Road which is on the opposite bank of Sabarmati River to that of Motera.
Phase-I Extension of Ahmedabad-Gandhinagar Metro has a direct link over Sabarmati from Hansol to Motera leading to the airport. Motera can also be accessed through SP Ring Road either through Tapovan Circle or Koteshwar-Bhat Road and then through the Indira Bridge.
Khodiyar, ChandKheda Road, Sabarmati Junction, Ambli Road are for nearby railway station to Motera. However, Sabarmati Junction is the nearest and major railway station which is located at a distance of 7.7 km via Ahmedabad-Patan Highway Road.
The state-owned bus facility, Gujarat State Road Transport Corporation, connecting various cities, towns and villages of Gujarat, runs buses to Gandhinagar from Ahmedabad and vice versa.
The oldest city bus service by Ahmedabad Municipal Transport Service (AMTS), serves Motera through stops of Motera Gaon, Sahjanand Park, Indira Nagar, Gandhivaas on the Motera Stadium Road and Vishwakarma Mandir, Visat, etc. on the Visat-Gandhinagar Highway.

With the advantages of the international cricket stadium known as Motera Stadium, connectivity to the famous city bus service of BRTS (apart from the old AMTS bus service), a proposed strategic metrorail station for Ahmedabad-Gandhinagar Metro, IIT Gandhinagar and the buzzing commercial complexes have been a plus point for Motera, driving residential demand and consistent rental yield.
Sardar Patel Gujarat Stadium (Motera Stadium) is one of the premier cricket stadiums of India in the Motera locality of Ahmedabad which is providing revenue to the govt. The Sardar Patel Gujarat Stadium in Motera, Ahmedabad will surpass the Melbourne Cricket Ground when completed.
Once the first phase of Ahmedabad Metro will commence, it will reduce the traffic chaos in the locality.

The area is also home to the famous Vishwakarma Government Engineering College (VGEC) resulting in increasing presence of IT companies like IndyLogix Solutions. Some of the schools located nearby are Kidzee Motera, Tree House Playgroup, IDP School, Sakar English School, Doon Blossom Academy, Podar International School to name a few.
