CREDAI’s new Initiative for Zero Garbage Indian Housing Complexes

CREDAI is poised and all set for a welcoming move of introducing ‘zero garbage in the housing complexes

Confederation of Real Estate Developers Associations’ of India (CREDAI) all over India is joining hands launch a programme for ‘zero garbage in the housing complexes’. All the CREDAI members belonging to various states joining hands for the development and realisation of this project.

It aims to uptake a replica of the government’s ‘Swachh Bharat Abhyan’ at its upcoming Annual ‘CREDAI Conclave 2014′. At the occasion, the apex body’s members of the Association are expected to take up several progressive initiatives, of which the most important is the ‘zero garbage programme in the housing complexes’.

Jaxay Shah, the National Vice President of CREDAI states that they believe in the initiative of providing housing to the nation. Their general belief is that a home and a secure life is a dream for everyone. The members are setting forth voluntarily to adopt a policy of zero garbage in all the initiatives they undertake. This is supposed to be officially announced at Delhi Conclave, paving way to the decrease of approximately one million tonnes per annum in the initial year of the move itself.

Through a special programme named ‘KUSHAL’, which is a joint venture by NSDC and CREDAI, CREDAI has vouched to provide vocational and technical training to on-site labours.This initiative will also take necessary steps to increase the number of skilled manpower in the construction sector, as an attempt to reduce the enormous gap between demand and supply of skilled manpower.

With the cooperation of housing societies and builders this move is sure to bring about a welcoming change in houses to realize a ‘clean India’. However it will be a real challenge for the association to set up and ensure a smooth functioning, especially in the metros of the country

Confederation of Real Estate Developers Associations’ of India (CREDAI) is the ace body of housing and habitat in the country. It consists of more than 9,000 members and is spread across 151 city chapters throughout all major Indian cities.
