Municipal Corporation Of Gurgaon Should Act now

Municipal Corporation of Gurgaon to take action and request goverment and defence ministry lowering the mandatory 900 meters restriction to 100 metres to allow construction around Air Force Station Gurgaon.

As this was the action taken by tamilnadu Goverment in 2007 and got an amendment to building rules near to Tambaram ammunition depot:

Building Rules - Tamil Nadu District Municipalities Building Rules, 1972 -
Prohibition of Construction of building and approval of sites for construction within 1000 metres of Air Force installations - Amendments
- Orders - issued

The Government after careful examination have decided to issue amendment to sub-rule
(5) to rule 5 and sub -rule (6) to rule 6 of the Tamil Nadu District Municipalities Building Rules,
1972 so as to give effect to the Government of India notification SRO. No. 12 dated 14.2.207.
published in the Gazette of india on 3.3.2007 under the Works of Defence Act. 1903 (Central Act
7 of 1903.)

In the letter read above, the Joint Secretary to Government of India, Ministry of Defence
has communicated a copy of the SRO No. 12 dated 14.2.2007 published in the Gazette of India
on 3.3.2007, wherein restriction on constructions of buildings around Air Force Stations and
installations has been fixed as 100 metres instead of 900 metres.

AMENDMENTS
In the said Rules:-
(1) in rule 5 in sub-rule (5) for the expression &quot;900 metres&quot; the expression &quot;100 metres&quot; shall be substituted; and
(2) in rule 6, in sub-rule (6). for the expression &quot;900 metres&quot; the expression &quot;100 metres&quot; shall be substituted.</description>
