Noida, Greater Noida to witness a slew of developmental projects
Noida: Noida and Greater Noida are witnessing development projects worth Rs 3,337 crore. The residents of the twin districts have been awaiting this for nearly an year.
In the coming few years, the two districts will be flushed with several development activities. The key projects coming up in Noida and Greater Noida include- two new affordable housing projects, a state-of-the-art sewerage treatment plant (STP), a government inter college for girls, construction orders for the medical university that was promised last year and a 200-bed district hospital with a trauma centre.
To overcome the power shortage issues in Noida and greater Noida, power sub-stations have also been planned in many sectors. Construction of underpasses at some of the busiest intersections and to construct a multi-level parking space in Sector 18 of Noida are also in the line. As per the plan, the parking space would accommodate around 3085 cars.
A 35 mld sewage treatment plant (STP) at Sector 123 of Noida is also coming up which will make it the first Indian city with a capacity to treat all the sewerage it produces. The STP will service 28 sectors of Noida. It will also meet the ISO 14001:2004 standards of environmental pollution control. The government has planned to build a 200-bed district hospital in Sector 39.
In order to meet the growing real estate demands, the government has approved a housing project in Noida, Sector 10. Greater Noida Authority will be developing 7,200 affordable’ housing units in ground+3 format with each flat having over 29.76 square metres. Another project comprising 4,425 affordable homes in Sector 18, each of which will be priced at Rs 7.75 lakh has also been proposed.
Four-laned underpasses will be built parallel to Metro lines on the intersections of sectors 32, 35, 39 and 51. A 7-metre clover leaf will be constructed on the proposed four-lane underpass on the Master Plan road number 3 in sectors 94, 95 for traffic travelling from Delhi to Sector 94 of Noida.
