Quota to be scrapped off by the governmental staff by MHADA

No Comments Sub Category:Realty News Posted On: Jul 03, 2014

The state housing authority has now being working towards getting rid of the quota for legislations, quota for legislations in houses so that more cheap houses can become available to the poor and backward sections of the society.

The Maharashtra Housing and Area Development Authority has on the other hand decided to keep a number of houses separately for women who are in a desperate situation. Not just them, this one also includes people who belong to unorganized sectors such as taxi drivers, auto rickshaw pullers or even the registered labourers. One of the senior officials have also mentioned that within around 5 years of the service, any of the employees of the state government or MADHA gets a monthly salary which happens to be quite considerable. This goes the same for the MLA’s and MP’s. Therefore they are now considering the plan of using these houses which is at the moment reserved for all the employees of the government as well as representatives of the government for other people who will be requiring possession soon.

The authorities who have faced a lot of criticism for the rising prices of affordable houses have started to work on several internal measures so that the cost of the house can be rationalised. This is especially for the economically backward sections of the society.
