Overview :
Rajajinagar is a residential locality, situated in the north-western parts of Bangalore. It is situated at a distance of 6 km from Bangalore via Seshadri Road. This locality is named after the great Indian fighter C. Rajagopalachari. It comes under BBMP Zone. Earlier it was an industrial area but gradually change into a residential zone.  It is surrounded by Basaveshwara Nagar, Malleshwaram, Mahalakshmipuram, Mahalakshmi Layout, Vijayanagar, and Rajajinagar Industrial area. The locality is divided into two stages, which are further divided into blocks, listed numerically and alphabetically from 1-6 and A-E, respectively. Prominent locality close to major areas in Bangalore like Malleshwaram, Basaveshwara Nagar, Okalipuram, Vijaya Nagar, Chickpet, Yeshwanthpur, Kamakshipalya, VV Giri Colony etc. Chord Road is one of the longest roads in Bangalore connecting Yeshwanthpur through Mahalakshmi Layout, Rajajinagar, Vijayanagar, R.P.C. Layout and Attiguppe to Mysore Road. Due to the presence of many parks and tree-covered lanes, this neighborhood is recognized to be one of the calmest and beautiful localities in the city.

Connectivity :
The BMTC buses connect Rajajinagar to important points like the majestic bus stand, Malleshwaram, Bangalore City Railway Station, Seshadripuram, and Basaveshwaranagar.

The Chord Road, which is one of the longest roads in Bengaluru provides good connectivity to areas such as Yeshwantpur and Vijaynagar.

Kempegowda International Airport is located at a distance of 38.5 km via NH 44, can be accessed in less than an hour.

Malleshwaram is the nearest railway station to Rajajinagar which is located at a distance of 2.9 km via Mahakavi Kuvempu Road. Other nearby railway stations are Bangalore City railway station which is located at a distance of 3.2 km via Link Road.

Greenline of Namma Metro’s Phase-1 is passing through the locality of Rajajinagar and has the nearest metro station Rajajinagar.

Purple Line of the Namma Metro is also operational and has the nearest station Magadi Road.

Factors for growth in the past :
This locality saw a major hike in property prices after the construction near the Yeshwanthpur-Rajajinagar-Malleshwaram corridor opened up for huge residential developments.

Its proximity to Rajajinagar Industrial Area, Peenya Industrial Area along with metro rail connectivity to the other parts of the city have played a major role in the development of this locality. Thus, driving residential as well as commercial demand and developments in the locality.

Also, the Green Line of Namma Metro Phase-1 that is available from Peenya to Malleshwaram via Rajajinagar has boosted the property price here. Metro is a big boost to the growth of this area, which helps people to reach Peenya and other industrial areas within 20-25 mins.

Further, connectivity of metro station and completion of underpasses offers smooth connectivity.
