Warangal is the largest city and a municipal corporation in Warangal district in the Indian state of Andhra Pradesh. It serves as a major urban center for the educational, medical, trading, and cultural needs of the people in Telangana region. Located in the Telangana region of the state, Warangal is about 145 km northeast of the state capital of Hyderabad.
