Overview
Yeshwanthpur, located at the North-Western part of Bangalore is an industrial cum residential area. It is located to the north of Malleshwaram and West Of Hebbal. Kamala Nehru Extension, Gokula Extension, L.N. Colony, Model Colony, B.K.Nagar, Subedarapalya, Sundara Nagar are some of its neighbouring areas. The Asian Highway-47 and National Highway-4 run through this area. Malleshwaram, Hennur, Shivaji Nagar, Rajajinagar, Jalahalli and Hebbal are also close to Yesvantpur.


Connectivity
BMTC connects Yesvantpur with various parts of the City. It has a Traffic Transit, Management centre operated by BMTC. BMTC routes serving the stations on its Yesvantpur old market side are Majestic, City Market, Shivajinagar and the other side Tumkur Road is well connected with majority of buses. Yesvantpur RMC Yard Bus Stop is the nearest to this locality.

Goraguntepalya, MEI Bus Stop, Suryodaya Mill are some nearby bus stops for the neighbouring areas.


Yesvantpur Railway Station is a Major railway terminal connecting to major rail heads in the country. One can get interstate trains from here to major city of the country. It is just 6 km from Bangalore City Railway Station.


This area has excellent connectivity with Kempegowda International Airport (26 km farther) that takes around 20-25 mins via Tumkur Road.

Major issue
The Govardhan Theatre Bus Stop on Tumkur road just by the side of Yesvantpur Junction is a very busy road with vehicles are playing at very high speeds. There are no traffic lights nor policemen to help the people cross the roads. The vehicles on the Service Road are even more dangerous. People have to run to catch the bus. Traffic congestion has become major issues for the daily commuters and specially for those who has to catch long distant train from Yesvantpur. Street lights are also in Pathetic condition.
