9 Favourite Types of Neighbours from Famous TV Shows

image-for-blog-link

So many times we come across the phrase ‘Love Thy Neighbour’, but at times don’t you wonder if it’s even possible to love a wacky neighbour with a wicked sense of humour or for that matter someone who merely stares you down…creepy!

But what if we had the same neighbour characters we see on popular TV shows as our real-life neighbours? Let’s try and see how it might turn out!

1. Palak- Comedy Nights With Kapil

This super fun and crazy neighbour woman with her slapstick ‘shayris’ has surely added to the madness of the show. She is constantly seen hunting for a prospective groom.

Palak- Kapil Comedy NightWe are more tolerant towards over-friendly, annoying neighbours now, thanks to       Palak!

2. The Brindle family- Small Wonder

The ever-nosy next-door neighbours of the Lawsons. Mr Brindle is Mr. Lawson’s unappreciative credit- stealing boss, Mrs. Brindle is a conniving woman and Harriet, their bratty daughter, is mostly seen chasing Jamie, Mr. Lawson’s son.

The Brindle family-Small wonderSad but true fact is everyone in the world has to deal with snoopy neighbours.
We don’t really have a choice but we most certainly do not enjoy it.

3. Kramer- Seinfeld

A perfect weirdo, womanizer, gambler, fruit lover, has wild money-making ideas, no steady job and a unique habit of barging into his neighbour’s apartment.

Kramer- SeinfeldIf you have him as your neighbour, we’d say tip-toe about in your home, keep the     volume low and lights off. Probably put up a board on your door saying
‘No One Lives Here’.

4. Penny- The Big Bang Theory

We can associate this character with the adjectives sweet, cheeky and funny. She’s the girl-next-door and the odd one out in the group of ‘geek’ friends.

Penny- The Big Bang TheoryWe love the whole idea and we cannot lie! A neighbour who’s sweet, jolly and sexy…   Well, what do we say? Guilty!

5. Wilson W. Wilson Jr- Home Improvement

This man is heard dropping words of wisdom from across the fence to the Taylor family and somehow always manages to solve their problems. He is never really seen in entirety.

5) Wilson W. Wilson Jr- Home Improvement

Nobody particularly likes people offering uncalled-for free advice. But who
cares if it solves all our problems? We can try and try harder to deal with that!

6. Taarak Mehta- Tarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah

The show’s central character runs to this philosopher and witty friend to seek sensible advice when in trouble.

Tarak Mehta- Tarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah

Who would mind having a one-stop destination for all problem solutions?

7. Joe Swanson- The Family Guy

This muscular paraplegic neighbour of Peter Griffin is an upright police officer, an exceptional sportsman and a good friend with occasional display of intense anger problems.

Joe Swanson- Family Guy

A police officer neighbour who is friendly, good at most things and ready to get
you out of trouble!! He can prove to be your neighbourhood messiah!

8. Chandler & Joey- Friends

This young, cool and fun duo that lived across the hall had an epic sense of humour and were truly awesome friends who would have each other’s back whenever needed.

We strongly believe their simple, goofy and good nature will make for awesome neighbour traits. And when we need to get rid of excess food, we know exactly
who to go to!

9. Pooja Aunty- Hum Paanch

She is the stylish, age-faking neighbour of the insane Mathur family. Remember her trademark line?

Pooja Aunty- Hum PaanchWe think she will offer our society enough drama and food for gossip!

If you can relate a neighbour to any of the above or other TV show neighbour characters, tell us which character you think they’re similar to and how exactly.
