Share your apartment memories using CommonFloor Groups’ Photo Gallery

Every apartment celebrates various events together — be it national holidays, festive celebrations, picnics/ outings etc. These events bring residents together and help transform a neighbourhood into one large happy family. Not just that, most residents capture all the exciting memories through photographs.

However, post the event, people share these photos over email or various other private social channels but it gets lost over a period of time as people move on to other places or get busy in their personal lives. There’s no single placeholder to share & treasure all the memories created with your neighbourhood friends and families.

In order to solve this challenge, we at CommonFloor Groups are excited to introduce the new and improved ‘Photo Gallery’ experience. Each apartment gets their own private Photo Gallery, making it super easy for all residents to store, organize and share photographs at a single location and preserve them for a lifetime, securely!

It’s simple to use!

  1. Select the Photos option from the menu on the web portal or on our Mobile App
  2. Create a new album for the event
  3. Encourage all residents to Upload photos in that folder
  4. Done! All the memories for that event gets frozen for life.

Below are some of the key  advantages of sharing photos in Commonfloor Groups, over other social networks :-

  • Privacy : Nobody other than community members having valid login can access the photos being shared in private folders..
  • Easy Sharing :- There’s no need to share links of photos as each resident would easily be able to access all photos in the Photo Gallery on the web portal and mobile app.[1]
  • Central Location :-  Create a single album for each event so that you can store all the photo click by all residents in single location.

The best part – with Holi around the corner, you can share memories of your apartment’s Holi celebrations and stand a chance to win prizes. The Best Way to Manage your Community’s Inventory

CommonFloor Groups launches a new way of managing your inventory in your apartment community. With the new Inventory Management module you will finally be able to say goodbye to excel sheets and pieces of paper. In this quick blog, we will take you through a short tour of what you can accomplish with this module.

First, start off by adding your first stock item. Similar stock items can be combined into categories. At the time of adding a stock item you can specify its category name and a threshold level for this stock item. We also allow you to add units at the time of creating a new stock item. Enter the values and click on the Add button.

Now you will be taken to the Manage Inventory screen. This page gives you a complete snapshot of all stock items in you have added.

Click on any stock item to look at the inward & outward transactions for this stock item.

To make this module more comprehensive, we also allow you to track the value of inventory stock items. Enter the details of an invoice at the time of adding units and we will automatically calculate the value every stock item any time you need.

Your very own CommonFloor Groups Mobile App has been upgraded on both Android and iOS platforms (available from 15th Jan). And this is just the beginning…

In our continuous endeavour to provide you with a seamless experience of connecting with your community on the move, we have made the mobile app faster, smarter and easier to use. Apart from an enhanced visual experience, we have been relentlessly fixing bugs, reducing the number of steps required to accomplish something and ironing out performance issues (which means, you can now communicate quickly even in low internet speeds). So update the app now from the app-store and enjoy the improved experience!

For Treasurers, much-needed Bank Reconciliation is now here!

Good news for Treasurers! To ensure better efficiency in managing apartment finances, CommonFloor Groups Money Manager is now equipped with Bank Reconciliation as a premium feature under the Bank & Cash section. Reconciliation helps you cross-check entries between your live Bank Statement (Bank Balance) and the records maintained in CF Money Manager (Book Balance).

How to reconcile accounts?

  • Click on Reconcile from the Bank Statement page

  • Download the Bank Statement from CommonFloor for the required period

  • Compare this with the live Bank Statement and mark ‘Reconciliation Date’ as the date on which each transaction appeared on the live Bank Statement

  • Upload this filled-up template back to CommonFloor Money Manager

Once you do this, you can see the difference in the Balances – your target is to make these differences to zero – this will ensure 100% efficiency in maintaining records!

Connecting with your neighbours is now easier!

Owing to our busy schedule and work, we often miss out on connecting with our neighbours. In situations when we don’t have their contact details and they have not logged on to CommonFloor Groups to check their direct messages, it becomes nearly impossible to reach out to them.

Eureka! You can now send them an invite to download CommonFloor Groups app (from within the app), so that in future they receive notifications of your messages via the app, resulting in faster responses.Screenshot_2014-11-13-11-50-30(1)

With this new app feature, now you can:

  • Invite your neighbours to download the app (they will receive an SMS+Email recommendation)
  • Invite your neighbours on Whatsapp
  • View which neighbours are on the app
