Invoice-Screenshot-new-final-637x1024

Here’s a quick explanation of various sections in the Invoice:

1. Invoice Header :- The header of the Invoice is customizable and can display the Full Address of the Association, along statutory information like PAN,  Society’s Registration number etc.

2. Invoice Information :- This contacts the Invoice Id, short title, Invoice/Due dates and recipient name and House number. The name & houses of all residents are automatically picked up from the resident database and needn’t be provided individually. This means just defining invoice once and auto-generating invoices for all in a click.

3. Outstanding Summary :- This is the section where resident can view a quick summary of the Invoice amount, with break-up like:

a. Previous Dues – Un-cleared amount present for that house, at the time when the new invoice is generated. This is auto-computed based on the payments recorded against the house.

b. Current Invoice - Total value of the current Invoice that is generated

c. Adjustments /Advances- If Resident has paid any amount as Advances, system will automatically adjust this amount against the current Invoice (no manual entry needed!)

d. Total Outstanding = (a) + (b) – (c)

4. Invoice Particulars :- This sections show break-up of the Current Invoice against each line items against which a charge has been raised.

5. Previous Invoice Details :- This section shows a break-up of the pending dues, with a break-up  of amount against main dues and penalty etc.

6.  Penalty Information & Terms & Conditions :-  Any applicable Penalty information is automatically shown after particulars, based on the defined rules. So this needn’t be manually added in the Terms & Condition section. Any additional information than Penalty can be added in Terms and Conditions section.

Tip: Choose from our powerful Penalty generator, which auto-computes the Penalty charges on a daily basis.

This Invoice can be viewed by the Resident over web as well as our Mobile App. Additionally, an email notification would be triggered to all members of the House.

New: Residents can pay their dues online instantly, via our Mobile App. Read more.

Commonfloor Groups’ Smarter Communities Made a difference in BBMP Elections

We recently ran a ‘I have Voted’ selfie contest in Bangalore to encourage greater participation in the recently conducted BBMP elections and saw amazing response from the residents of a lot of communities. While the count of individual participation was high, the % voter turnout in smaller communities was much better.  Our Smart Communities leveraged the tools that we, at Commonfloor Groups provide, really well. Here are a few highlights:-

  • 2 Lac + SMSes were sent from Commonfloor Groups’ SMS platform during BBMP elections, across 10000+ active communities that are hosted on our platform.
  • Maximum voter turnout in certain communities was as high as 80%, much above compared to the average turn out of 50%
  • Many RWAs sent SMS reminders to residents every 4 hour through Commonfloor Groups’ integrated SMS platform, appealing to go out and vote.
  • Some Communities also leveraged online Notice feature provided by Commonfloor groups to post important information about election like Polling booths, checking name in voter list etc.
  • Some of the communities even ran a online Poll using Commonfloor Groups Poll module, to decide whom to vote together.
  • Few communities had election candidates visiting their premise for campaigning and they gather all residents by sending SMSes and online Events using Commonfloor Groups.

Overall, we are really glad that we could contribute to our vision of ‘Smart Community Living’ by helping residents choose for a ‘Smart Governance’.

Here’s a quote from Mr. Chandrasekaran Ganesh, Jt. Secretary, Royal Legend Apartment Association, Bangalore, that had a great turnout during election:-

We had a pretty enthusiastic participation from Royal Legend Apartments for the BBMP elections Selfie contest this time. The residents did came forward in big numbers to share their selfies and we uploaded it on the Commonfloor Groups portalAs the RWA, we also did our bit by arranging for individual voter slips, identifying their polling booths and Serial numbers in the rolls and communicate it to all the residents timeline using their platform. Here are some photos of our happy residents :-

Splash through the summers safely through our swimming pool safety tips

Swimming Safety

Accidents by drowning in the swimming pools of apartment complexes is quiet a common occurrences. In fact it was just last week that we reported about a four year child drowning while cycling around the swimming pool of his complex. Swimming pools are a necessity in such high rises as in people’s busy schedules looking for a separate swimming pool outside one’s housing society is simply impossible. So builders make sure that a swimming pool is any which way a part of their plan. However, unfortunately in a bid to meet such rising demands the builders don’t follow the safety norms that must be maintained while building the swimming pools. On the other hand residents are not aware of these rules and they even don’t pay much attention to safety measures that needs to be taken while residents (adults and children alike) are using the pool.

A 4 year old child recently lost his life when he fell into his society’s swimming pool while cycling in the premises. It was a little after 3.30 pm on the 22nd of July 2015 and as usual little Vikhyath rushed down to play with his new tricycle which his parents Abhijith 34, and Pallavi Deshpande had bought for him. 22nd of July was like any other day the only difference being that his grandparents could not accompany when he had rushed down, as the child was very excited to play with his new gift.
