The APSRTC operates buses that run from Chanda Nagar to key localities like Jubilee Hills, Secunderabad, Gachibowli and other prominent localities of Hyderabad. The locality is also part of the MMTS train service which connects various parts of Hyderabad by rail. This train service connects Chanda Nagar with Begumpet, Kachiguda, Falaknuma, Necklace Road, and many other localities. Another mode of transport which is quite popular in Hyderabad is the autorickshaw, while taxis are not that common in the area.

 

The Mumbai Highway which passes through Chanda Nagar is a well-developed, 6 lane highway which connects Chanda Nagar with other areas in Hyderabad, and the Outer Ring Road is another important road near the area. The HUDA Colony bus stop, Chanda Nagar bus stop, and Lingampally bus station are some of the important bus stops in the locality.

 

Hyderabad's main railway station, Deccan Railway Station, is 16 km from Chanda Nagar, and the nearest station, Lingampally Railway Station, is only 2 km from Chanda Nagar. The Shamshabad International Airport is a little further away, at 35 km from the locality. In the past, power cuts would last as long as 4 hours every day. However, the situation is much better these days.

The construction of the Hyderabad Metro Rail will be an important growth factor for Chanda Nagar. Although Chanda Nagar will not have a metro railway station, Miyapur, a neighbouring locality located 5 km from Chanda Nagar, is to be part of line 1 of the Hyderabad Metro. The Metro will give greater connectivity to the region, which will in turn boost the real estate market.
