Q: I am a part of a cooperative society and as per future plans I had deposited an amount of money in the society's fund. Now the society is not ready to pay the maturity amount as per the time. What should I do? Please help.
Latest Answer: As you are a consumer of the society and you should get the amount on maturity, you are entitled to file a complaint under the Consumer Protection Act against the society and claim for the deficiency in service. The society has to refund the amount as per the fixed deposit receipts with interest. Interest will be around 18%.
