Latest Answer: Since the original plan involved construction of tunnels and two aqueducts to cross the roads and railway lines, re-investigation of the alignment was to overcome these difficulties and to bring down the expenditure.
Q:Hey i heard that CRRT is going to rejuvenate 7 lakes in Coimbatore? When is this going to happen? Can anyone tell me more about this enviroment protection act of Coimbatore?
Latest Answer: Actually compared to other tier 2 and tier 3 in the south, Coimbatore's property market is slowly gaining good returns. Also development is very much there. Lot of IT companies are taking up office space in Coimbatore. Now even residential demand for completed residential projects is rising. Give it more time. Or invest in Coimbatore only for long term investments.
Q:I heard that people living on Avinashi road are experiencing lot of difficulties because of lack of civic facilities in the area? What is the current situation?
Latest Answer: Yeah see because of the work not being completed, everyone had to take the flyover route (it was the only road that was open). This created so much of a traffic jam on the bridge that vehicles had to standstill for hours. Literally hours. That's not the worst part. The Coimbatore Corporation, for the repair work, had to link the northern part of the storm drain to the southern side. But they've actually abandoned the work and the pit has just been lying open from that time. Now this is not only extremely unhygienic and unsanitary but is also so unsafe! There have actually been accidents as people see the pit in the last minute and turn sharply to the right or left to avoid it. Seriously it's about time Coimbatore spends more time and money on such important aspects of basic living in the city.
Q:I just got a job in Coimbatore, so I need to move there. I know that the city has faced water problems in the past but now there is talk that there will be a new source of water. Can someone from Coimbatore give me more information on this please. Thanks!
Latest Answer: Not all wards for the fresh water connection in July 2013. Only some of them did till Jan 2014. After which the civic authorities stopped taking applications for new pipelines because they were waiting to implement the online system. Now the problem seems to be solved. All wards are going to get ample amount of water as for once, everything has gone according to plan. 10,000 water connections to about 100 wards were given till Jaunary. Don't worry too much about Coimbatore water issues because I think all the households will be benefitted from this new pipeline. Just remember to get it registered. :)
