Q: How is this locality connected to Pachalam? I'm moving here soon, and I might need to make frequent trips to Pachalam. Please help, Im from Indore, so not much idea about Kochi.
Latest Answer: Yes, you're right. Since there is a train track on this route, which is the only problem in this path I might add. The land acquisition for the ROB will be starting soon, now that the state transport dept has sent a recquisition letter to the revenue dept.

Q: Hey. I'm a student and I'm moving to Kochi for completing my high school. My school being in Vaduthala (Chinmaya Vidyalaya), I want to know about the Vaduthala area. Please mention if you know about any pg accomodation or flats for rent. I will be staying alone.

Latest Answer: As you are moving to Vaduthala for schooling purposes and going to be alone, I'd say it's better for you to stay in a PG accomodation. There are apartments you can take up on rental basis but that can be pretty expensive. So, if you're looking for gents PG accomodation you will find a few in Vaduthala itself, at a monthly rent of approximately Rs. 2000 and if you want ladies PG accomodation, you have to go to Pachalam or Elamakkara (around 2 - 4 km from Vaduthala). The monthly rent for a ladies PG would be in the range of Rs. 2500 - 3500. Though not the heart of the city, Vaduthala is well connected to main city areas such as MG Road, Palarivattom, Edapally etc. Public transport is easily accessible - auto stands and bus stands are many in number. The closest railway station is about 5 km away and the airport is 30 km away. Supermarkets, ATMs, banks, petrol bunks, restaurants, hospitals are all in the area.

Q: Hey. I want to buy an apartment for my parents on their retirement. Is Vaduthala a good area for senior citizens to live in?

Latest Answer: Vaduthala is one of the few remaining peaceful neighbourhoods in Kochi. There are apartments and villas for sale, which come with affordable price tags. The renowned Lourdes Hospital is located here and there are other hospitals/clinics as well. There are also vegetable stores, supermarkets, banks and ATMs located nearby. Temples, churches and mosques are also a part of this locality. Public transport is easily accessible as well. All in all, I think this place is fit for senior citizens to live in.

Q: I would like to get an overview of Vaduthala in Kochi city. Please give as many details as possible.

Latest Answer: Hey there! Compared to the main city areas which can get crowded and chaotic to reside in, Vaduthala is a very calm area. But if you're a typical city dweller who loves all the noise and nightlife then you might want to rethink living here. Public transport is available to people by means of autos, buses and trains - there are a few bus stations and a railway station in the locality. Vaduthala is linked to major city areas like MG Road, Edapally and Palarivattom. The well known Lourdes Hospital and top-rank schools like Chinmaya Vidyalaya, Don Bosco Senior Secondary School, SBOA Public School are situated in Vaduthala. As far as staying goes, there are apartments and villas you can choose from. There are ATMs, restaurants, supermarkets and petrol stations in and around the area.
