Q: Hi all, I happened to hear some bad reviews about the connectivity issue all over in mysore city. Is this true? I was planning to invest in the real estate of mysore. Will it affect the real estate of this place. Is there any possible improvement for this issue?

Latest Answer: but, the city has a very good climate that is very good for people to live in. So, as a place for investment for residential purposes, it is a good location. It is very close to Bangalore, but inspite of this, it does not have a good connectivity to this place. I think that the by introducing that express highway as well as introducing fast moving direct trains can do wonders.

Q: Hello there, i am really interested to know more about the growth of mysore on the property front. Can anyone provide me some information about this. What is the trend of this growth?

Latest Answer: one of the things that hamper the growth of the city is the delaying of the Comprehensive Development Plan (CDP). It was actually expired in 2010. if the delay is continuing, the growth of the city would be in shambles. But, I think there is a vertical upward growth that is concentrated in the areas like JP Nagar and Bogadi.

Latest Answer: Hi there, the Mysore Urban Development Authority are now ready to develop numerous layouts. To be precise, their plan is to develop around 18000 sites in and around mysore city. I think more of the outskirts of the city are focused in this project. so, obviously there would be a manifold increase in the rates of the land there.

Q: hello friends, there has been much development of the private housing layouts in and around mysore. but is there any plans to provide the basic amenities in these places?

Latest Answer: This is really a great initiative as it would lead to more people buying the land there. The real estate business of these layouts will also rise when such basic amenities like the water, electricity and roads are provided. But misappropriation of funds should be avoided as it happened under the JNNURM last time. Dustbins costing Rs. 5 crores were distributed to nearly 1.30 lakh households in the city for segregation of waste. There was huge corruption in this.

Q: Hello guys, I happened to hear that the works of the Outer Ring Road project of Mysore is not going smooth. Can anyone tell me what is the reason for this? What are its inplications on the development of the area as well as the real estate of the Mysore?

Latest Answer: I think the work for ORR was started over a decade ago. Most part of the road is ready. It was recently that the urban body is building the 9.33 km of the ORR. Now this ORR loop cannot be completed without building the 800 metre stretch. MUDA requires the land urgently to take up the preliminary works before building the roads. But, i think the APMC has promised to get the necessary clearance done within March 2015.

Q: Hi there, I wanted to know the issue related to the price of housing in mysore. Is there any news about this problem relating to the escalating price of housing? Can anyone give some info?

Latest Answer: I gotta know that the Floor Area Ratio for Mysore is pegged at between 1.25 to 1.50. This is lot lesser than that the FAR of Mangaluru which is 2.5 to 3. The stakeholders have approached the Mysore Urban Development Authority and the state government to increase this ratio. but I think there has not been a measure in this direction.

Q: guys, can I know more about the problem of sand smuggling that is often happening in Mysore?

Latest Answer: these officials are receiving more than 5 crores on a monthly basis. Only the higher authorities can be able to stop this. This illegal mining is degrading the face of mysore. The sand mining is having huge environmental impacts on the region, especially of the water source.

Q: Hey everyone, I came to know that there is some development going on in the direction of waste management. Can I know what it is actually? Is there any initiative that is taken for making Mysore pollution free?

Latest Answer: the actual plan is that they are enforcing the Plastic Waste (Management and Handling) rules of 2011. It is related to authorisation, manufacturing, recycling and disposal of plastic and creating public awareness as well. this is really a boost for the image of Mysore.

Q: Hi all, i just happened to read in the papers that the Outer Ring Road project is facing some obstacles. What exacly is this project? can anyone give me some info about this project. thanks in advance :)

Latest Answer: there is one more reason for this issue, ok...this is the railway under bridge work. But, i think this will be resolved through negotiations between the Mysore Urban Development Authority (MUDA) and Railway authorities. But, i think fund is also another issue. in 2013, the MUDA proposed to impose toll on the roads as well as charge extra cess from the people who owned land by the roadside. this could tackle the problem of lack of fund.
