Latest Answer: Hello Neha, If you are an NRI interested in buying property in India, here is a check-list of documents you need to keep ready 1) Passport, copies of Passport, 2) Valid Visa and copies, 3) work permit, 4) contract of employment, 5) work experience certificate, 6) Latest salary certificate, 7) last 6 months pay slip, 8) Last 6 month payslips, 9) last one year bank statement of NRE or NRO accounts (Non-resident External (NRE) or Non-resident Ordinary (NRO)), 10) Power of Attorney (certificate giving power to an authorized person in India who will be registering the purchased property in the absence of the NRI buyer), 11) OCI or PIO card (Overseas Citizenship of India or Persons of Indian Origin), 12) Pan Card if available and, 13) Address Proof.
