Q: Maharashtra state government has adopted a new policy according to which a special officer will be appointed to keep a tab on illegal constructions.

Latest Answer: But still similar cases come up in Mumbai as well where builders fake documents and involve in illegal constructions. My question is will the government appoint a deputy commissioner of police or above rank officer to keep a watch or to take awareness of these complaints of illegal structures in Mumbai.

Latest Answer: Hi Sufia, As per my knowledge, office of the District Town Planner (Enforcement) has sent a second notice to 17 owners of EWS houses in Sector 54 for illegal constructions in the area.The move comes after TOI reported on November 23 that residents of the sector were filing a PIL demanding action against the violators.

Q: Guys, we all know about the news that illegal building collapsed in Mumbra. There are so many such buildings with poor construction quality in Mumbai, Delhi and other cities. The govt should do something to control such disasters. What do u say? Please share your views.

Latest Answer: Actually the police did not seem to co-operate during demolition of illegal constructions it seems. So, the policy mooted a special task force at the disposal of the municipal commissioner and special court.

Latest Answer: The Gurgaon district administration order the authority to take serious action against the encroachers. The district administration asked the authority to file FIR rather than proceed with demolision or serve with notice. The district commissioner said that there should not be any illegal construction in the district. The District commissioner also directed the officials incharge of revenue and taxation not to register any sale deeds in the unauthorised plots.
