Q: BBMP waste processing units are creating problems for Arudi & Gorur residents.
Latest Answer: Hi everybody, Do you know that the Cabinet gave its approval for establishing solid waste management units by Sateram Enterprises and Maltose Agri Products Private Limited near Bengaluru. Even the cabinet has fixed a rate i.e. processing fee of Rs 253/tonne has been fixed for both the units.

Q: Is it a good idea to decompose the apartment waste nearby localities ?
Latest Answer: Hi Monica, According to me due to heavy pressure from Urban Developement Ministry & PM's Swachh Bharath abhijan ,BBMP woke up from it's deep sleep & started throwing rules & regulation to every one with out judging anything. Just think of how come apartment people will manage the waste they generate . That the civic body collects Rs 60 as garbage cess from every property tax payer has only rubbed salt into their wounds.

Q: Hi all, what happened to the plan of setting up of garbage processing units in Bangalore? Will it ever be set up or not?
Latest Answer: The whole responsibility cannot be given to bulk generators alone. BBMP has to do their part. The tripartite agreement will share the responsibility on all the three stakeholders and the initiative is expected to be successful. Bulk generators have agreed to pay 90 paise/kg for transportation which applies only to commercial bulk generators. Apartment dwellers should still process waste on their own.
