Q: Hello, I read that Coimbatore will get 24 hour water supply through a public prive partnership. How true is it? How is it working ot so far?

Latest Answer: THat was some good thinking. But apparenlty the government has't been able to find the concesionaire that can help with the funding. Tamil Nadu Infrastructure Developmental Board's report has basically now brough this project to a stand still. Have to wait to find out what happens.

Latest Answer: In-house facilities in the complex aren't much. You just get a garden, a community hall, a play area, a gymnasium and a club house. Everything minimum you expect from new projects

Latest Answer: Hi. I think the project you are talking about is still under construction. I have seen thhe banner with plots for sale ad. They will open only in September 2015. You are not moving in now, I presume.

Drinking water supply in outskirts of Coimbatore
Q: Guys, I currently have a second home in the outskirts of the city. We use it for recreational purposes. Whenever we go we get a tank for the house for drinking water. While it’s easy to do that, I was wondering if any measures are being taken to supply drinking water through the pipelines to all the outskirts areas? It’ll just be so much more convenient if they do that.

Latest Answer: Oh right! Man, the current area you stay, ramanathapuram gets water from this scheme only. Good thing they at least thought of it. They should start thinking of all these Panchayats around the town. I hear if they drop the Pilloor I scheme, they’ll be able to supply 50 to 60 MLD just to Panchayats.
