Latest Answer: Yes. Not just that. The shop owners had not responded to multiple notices from the GHMC to pay up the arrears or face consequences. But again, they failed to respond which led to this ultimately and they learned their lesson.

Q: Hi, The new government is Telangana is pretty active right now. I heard that they fixed the number of wards for the GHMC? What is it like? How many ward will Hyderabad have?
Latest Answer: The new orders issued by the government measn the number is frozen at 200, which means the GHMC jurisdiction will have a corporator for every 33,850 persons which is pretty decent actually. they have less responsbilities and can perform better.

Q: Hello, How is the progress of the GHMC pits for rain water harvesting going. I think the summer is very near and it has to be completed soon. What is happening here?
Latest Answer: GHMC to encourage collection of roof top rain water, filter it and storage of filtered water through over head tanks. I am ready to construct about 20 KL overhead tank and necessary system to collect the roof top rain water, filter it and pump it to over head tank even though the plot size is 300 Sq.yds. This water will help the residents for fire fighting purposes also. If really GHMC officials are interested in real sense, I am prepared to meet. My cell nos is 9866115177. Q: I heard that HMWS&SB is almost going bankrupt. How is this situation being handled? Do you know what is happening here?
Latest Answer: While this merger issue seems to be the best move to take. There is going to be a problem because there are over 5000 employees that are employeed by the Water board and all of them will most likely lose their jobs.

Q: Hello, GHMC is planning to clean up a long stretch of nalas soon. How are they planning to do it?
Latest Answer: The GHMC officer Kumar has guided all of the officials to identify the man holes without covers and also see that action be taken on priority and those must be covered so that the roads can be kept safe for commuters.

Q: Hello, I read that 23 lakes will be protected in Hyderabad city. How true is this? Is this really happening?
Latest Answer: A couple years ago in 2012 government has issued a circular restricting any building activity in the FTL area and had suggested to build a recreational centre or green buffer zone. Also it was said that any building must be destroyed without any hesistation if they violated the law.

Q: HMS&SB might pitch in for the Hussainsagar cleanup project? Is this true? When did this happen? Tell me more about it.

Latest Answer: Hey. I read that the project is still awaiting a go ahead from the MA&UD office. Once it is done the project heads are especting to call for tenders and start off the with hussainsagar clean up project. Can't wait to see how this goes.
