Sachin’s Dream Home Dorab Villa Mumbai

Comments(7) Sub Category:Celebrity Homes Posted On: May 08, 2012

One of the most luxurious and exclusive residence which is one of the hot topic of properties in India is Sachin Tendulkar’s dream home. It was his long cherished dream to have a home like that. The house is named as ‘Dorab Villa’ and is situated in Bandra Mumbai.

Sachin’s Dorab Villa was formerly constructed in the 1920s and was owned by a Parsi family. The house consists of a storey and measures around 9,000 sqft. Apparently the property covers 10,000 sqft in total. Dorab Villa was sold to Sachin for Rs. 35 crore by the Satra group in 2010. Adding to it Sachin brought a 100 crore Insurance cover for his home.

Is Sachin’s Shell Home a net hoax

A Bengali newspaper had a report written by a topline sports journalist who, it has always been thought was close to Tendulkar and other international cricketers, flashed on its frontpage on Monday that global brand Mexican architect Javier Senosian was designing an organic weird shell house for Sachin Tendulkar. Dorab Villa was initially a Villa with arches and features of a typical villa. The villa was demolished and constructed into Sachin’s dream home.

The entrance of the shell home has two windows and has a pointed roof. The side part of it has spaces decorated with colourful glass pieces. The pathway has lowered stairs shaped like an apple alongside a lush lawn. The colourful glass piece work gives an illusion of that of a spider’s web. The interiors of the home are splendidly built. It has inbuilt customized furniture with a blend of colourful lights and glass pieces. The lush greenery is all over the home and in fact they have adopted the indoor gardening method with ornamental plants.

The pattern at the entrance of the shell house spreads all over the interiors of the home. It is a free flowing pattern with connectivity to all the rooms. Inbuilt furniture includes attached seats and a small table in the centre. The colourful lights inside the home give appealing colourful shades.

Every room is shaped circular and the living room of the shell home is covered with couches in a circular shape with a television in the centre supported by a small pillar. The shell home is painted in pastel cream colour all over the home blended with colourful light shades. Since the furniture is inbuilt, the furniture is all attached to the ground. The entrance of his house has a yellow coloured sofa. The walls have a scraped look all over the home. The living room has very less embellishments and has a simple look and ambiance.

Just after the entry way there is a sitting area which consists of four inbuilt chairs and a marble table attached to the wall. The chairs are made out of marble and the flooring is of marble too which matches the furniture. The décor and the furniture all over the home are of the same pastel colours. The bathroom is a little different and prominent when compared to all other rooms.

The bathroom has drawers attached to the walls and the wash basin is an enlarged shape of a part of a conch. Black and blue stone pieces are stuck to the front of the wash basin. All the areas in the bathroom are circular shaped with an attached soap box and a toothbrush container. The plug sockets and other electrical connections are similarly coloured to that of the entire shell home. The bathtub is again designed in a shell shape with circular blue crystals embedded in them.

Similarly, the kitchen is a place depicting elegant and modern ambiance. It has an inbuilt electrical cooking stove with four sections in it. Small closets and drawers are present under the kitchen counter. Right in front of the stove is a beautiful appealing window shaped in a circular feature and embedded with crystal stones. The crystal stone embedding is spread all across the kitchen in a thin line.

Talking about the bedroom, it is quite simple and elegant. It has lowered roof with a small circular shaped bedroom along with scattered light holes all over the bedroom. The bed is inbuilt and is a little elevated. The closets are attached to the wall like that of the kitchen closets. Small platforms are attached to the bed all over the room.

What the fuss over a house of an self centered, extraordinary citizen who moves into his dream home with scant regard for the law of the land by residing with out the Occupational Certificate. its time we move to real issues. Roam the roads of Mumbai after mid nite and see the homeless sleeping on the pathways.
