Ghaziabad residents put forward suggestions on National Highway
Residents and industry owners in Ghaziabad have forwarded their suggestions to the authorities on the proposed redevelopment of national highways passing through the area.
The Ghaziabad Residents’ Welfare Association Federation and the Ghaziabad Industries Federation have submitted their suggestions on environment and infrastructure of the highway in a meeting attended by National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) officials and farmers.
Apart from the long standing suggestions of a toll-free service lane on both sides of the highway, the residents suggested the NHAI to use debris collected from the demolished buildings in the urban areas as a base for the highway.
Other suggestions include planting saplings of Indian species along the highways and installing solar lights at subways.
