Q: Hello! I've started the petition "Stop the Hike in water rates for High Rise buildings in Bangalore" and need your help to get it off the ground. Will you take 30 seconds to sign it right now? Here's the link: http://www.change.org/en-IN/petitions/stop-the-hike-in-water-rates-for-high-rise-buildings-in-bangalore Here's why it's important: If you stay in High Rise, your water bill may just get higher by almost 3 times as per the new BWSSB circular dated 13/ 06/2013. Till now the apartment dwellers were levied only “domestic” rates and all of a sudden without any notice, the apartments have been charged at “bulk” rates. The water charges are increased from Rs. 6/- to Rs. 19/- per K Littre which is exorbitant and unfair. Again the sanitary charges are increased from Rs. 15/- to Rs. 100/- which cannot be justified.
