Q: I wish to enquire what are the legal obligations for builder (AFNHB), society (JalVayu Towers, Sector 47, Noida) and RWA to provide resident owners accessibility options to persons with Disability(PwD). Eg. ramps for wheelchair access, etc.

My comments to replies
I feel every apartment should be barrier free. Recently I read an article about so thought of sharing it here Barrier free apartments for senior citizens and movement disabled
True Anil, but even in Delhi/NCR things are in a very bad state. In Noida, even the District Magistrate's office is in a building totally inaccessible to wheelchair users. Good thing is atleast all the new shopping malls are fully barrier free. :)

Hi Shishir, as far as i know Jalvayu Towers offers all the modern amenities but do not know whether they are providing any special treatment for disable people.
Hi Sunil, unfortunately, modern amenities do not always translate into accessible environment. For example the community center and the RWA office in JVT is not accessible for wheelchair users.
