The walls in my 2 bathrooms are damaged due to the water leakage from the upper floor bathroom in my apartment complex. The owner from the top floor is not ready to pay for the repair cost in my flat. What is the procedure to file a case and get the compensation. In what way association will help or are there any association by-laws which can handle this kind of situation and help the owner affected by the water leakage from the top floor. Regards VV

Latest Answer: I have the similar problem for my apartment in JP Nagar. Here the owner of top floor flat wants me to pay the problems in their bathroom as we are the sufferers due to seepage to our flat. This looks more unfair. Can someone suggest the steps for filing the case, who to approach. And the details of bye-law. We do not have any registered association.
