Q: What is the law pertaining the collection of maintenance charges from the flats in Apt. Is it sq ft basis or any other methods as per law.

For example, if the fixed rate is Rs. 2 and you own a 1000 sqft. apartment, your maintenance charge will be Rs. 2000 per month. But most of the builder nowadays are charging from Rs.3-10.
