I have a plot in Bangalore which I bought along with my brother measuring 1200 sq.ft and now I am willing to sell only my portion 600 Sq.ft, hence would like to know the procedure.
Currently the land is on both the names measuring 1200 Sq.ft. Is there any way that I can avoid the registration charges?
My brother says we need to separately register the plot and then I proceed with the sale. I already have a buyer who is ready to buy....

No Sir we both had bought it from 3rd party and both have invested equal amount....and now I have a ready buyer who is willing to buy the land of my portion 600 Sq.ft so wanted to check if I can avoid the Registration cost and proceede with the sale and let my buyer register on his name his 600 portion....

As far as I know EC for less then 5 years will cost you around Rs 999
From 5 years to 15 years it is Rs 1299
From 15 years to 30 will need to pay 1449
Copy of EC will be sent to you within 20 Business Days for properties in Bangalore and surrounding regions.
Thank you however herein chennai the charges are Rs.5 for every year which is damn cheap...
