Hi, My name is Rashid Khan, I bought a Flat in Pune (PCMC) Maharashtra at 24 Lakh wherein based on the overall calculation I was supposed to pay 55 Thousand service tax at the time of Agreement.
Now I got to know that Builder is charging me around 6 thousand extra as service tax saying MSEB (Amount 35000) and Legal Charges (Amount 10000) are service covered under service tax. Kindly advise whether above heads fall into Service Tax Category or it just to rip off the customer? This project is located exact in Chikli Area of Pune.

Neeraj, I don't think the project will be completed as mentioned. The Akash project completion was delayed for more than one and half year. Nowadays project delay is common with most builders.. This is just one part you are talking about..the situation is that since state government has not given clearance how can they utilize that budget. Once the draw of lots is completed, the successful candidates will have to provide an affidavit to the effect that in case his name is not given in the BPL list on the date of draw of lots, the allotment of flat would be cancelled and the entire amount deposited would be lost. This is not a good method I hope. The authority has to come up with a better solution.

Manoj, before booking you have to verify such things. Why didn't you do so? Negligence at that time has led to such complications now. But anyways check the documents clearly, see what the builder has given in various documents. The resident living just below my flat has a leakage and seepage problem. He claims that the source of his problem lies in the toilets of my floor. Therefore, he asks me to share the expenses for getting it repaired. However, as per the bye laws of our flat owners association, Owner shall attend to all maintenance and repair work within his/her apartment. My contention is that the resident living below my flat has to pay for the repairs and my job is only to cooperate for facilitating the repairs. Pl. clarify. I am residing on a flat situated on the top floor. The resident of another flat who is residing just before my flat complains that he is facing leakage and seepage problems in his flat because of toilets and bathrooms. He wants me to share the expenses to be incurred for repair equally. But as per the bye laws of our flat owners welfare association, " Owners shall attend to all maintenance and repair work within his/her apartment which, if delayed, would affect the complex as a whole either part or entirely and are solely responsible for any damages and / or liabilities his/her failure to do so may cause. Therefore, I feel that I am well within my limits to say that the resident living below my flat has to undertake necessary repairs and pay for the same and my job is to extend my cooperation to facilitate the repairs. Please confirm.

I agree with Gary...... I do not think this is the right time for the investor to invest in this area. Moreover the area does not have have anything. We are already seeing signs of that and we think that is going to continue in 2016. So growth forecast for next fiscal year is 7.9%, up from 7.5%. State Bank of India (SBI), Bank of Baroda and HDFC Bank were first off the block to announce their MCLRs. While the MCLRs for SBI and HDFC Bank is 9.2% for a tenor of one year, at BOB the rate is at 9.3%. While for HDFC and SBI Bank this is a fall of 10 basis points over the base rate, for BOB the fall is a much sharper 35 basis point.Hi Vivek,
