Q: i am going to purchase a semi-furnished flat in hyderabad from the builder for 30 lacs as per sale of agreement. in the sale deed the amount is mentioned as 1700000. now for registration purpose, builder is asking as per below mentioned. registration charges - 6% of 1700000 vat - 1.25% of 3000000 service tax - 3.09% of 3000000 plz let me know is this the right way or correct calculation or not

Latest Answer: The registration charges for the properties is 9.5%. This includes 7% stamp duty of the market value, 2% transfer duty and 0.5% registration fee.
