Latest Answer: The State Government’s approaches to water service delivery in the city one hand cater to the water needs of city dwellers but on the other hand deprive peri-urban areas and more distant rural areas of their water rights. It is argued that this leads to an imbalance of water equity between urban areas and the areas that are the sources of Chennai’s water supply .
