Mattancherry is a nearby locality to Fort Kochi. It is quite famous. This area is quite good for living. The connectivity to the city is quite good here. Mostly the people depend on the waterways for transportation to the Kochi Jetty area. Oh yeah, you’ve heard right. But you need not worry. The road will be blocked between 10pm and 6am. I’m pretty sure you’re working hours doesn’t fall in that time bracket? So yeah, don’t worry about this particular road blockage. But it would be better to keep an ear out for anything else. Plenty of roads are being blocked because of the Metro rail construction these days.

Actually the locality needs an urgent sewage treatment plant. From what I think is that we cannot really discount all these wells. If you let out a regular 2bhk apartment near Kochi infopark, then you can charge upto Rs 16,000 if it is semi-furnished. If its fully furnished then you can charge up to Rs 20,000. If the apartment complex has amenities like gym, swimming pool, etc, you can even charge an additional Rs 2000 per month. Flats are generating more rent than houses, so I’d advise you to invest in flats only. So basically what I know is that water from the Periyar river has to be drawn in via pipelines to the plant in Kalamassery. The pipeline alone is going to be 7 km long. The status is not good, Im afraid. From what I’ve heard, the project is stuck due to some reason. I’m not exactly sure why, but I think its for the lack job opportunities that were created. From what I’ve heard, the state government is just waiting for the centre’s approval to start this whole project. It will be quite a big change. Once it is approved, we will all get piped natural gas in our households, instead of the cooking gas that we currently use. The worst thing is all these agencies are making lame excuses like possible audit objections and pipeline works scheduled later this year for their lack of action. Actually what this bridge will do is, people travelling from the southern parts of kochi will come from aroor to edakochi, and they will take this new bridge to reach Kundanoor-Willingdon Island Road. The project will at least take 3 years to complete but Cochin Port Trust has already given the land approval for this project. real estate sector will improve a lot in edakochi because of this project. But i suggest that you only commit to long term investments in this locality. With so large garbage plant there, who would expect it to be a neat place? Yes the Ernakulam Market Canal has been cleaned and renoveated. It has be de-silted and the depth of the canal has been increased a spasrt of the renovation. 700 sq ft is a small area for a 2 bhk apartment. But the price seems reasonable though. The construction of this apartment is not over yet.. you can go see the size and the area of them once they are done. Oh yeah the state highway is the best connecting infrastrucutre in Udayamperoor. You can take it in the north and reach the Tripunithura govt hosptial. There are so many bus stops on this stretch in the locality, Udayamperoor bus stop, Valiyakulam bus stop, Ameda temple bus stop, you can easily catch most bus services from any of these. Yeah you're right. The possession has been announced to be from Jan 2015. This project is basically all just 1 bhk apartments, not too many units, less than 100 actually. Actually, I got to know that in order to implement the plinth area based tax system, the total area is divided into 3 zones- Primary, Secondary, and Tertiary. There will be no tax concession for the buildings in the primary area. I have a suggestion to give to the authorities about this. I think the police would be able to register more cases if there was adequate surveillance. Since there is an ambiguity in that clause, the maradu municipality can not take decisions and give building permits to people that are planning to rebuild their homes on the same plot . What I have to say is that Ernakulam Town is an 'A-category' railway station and about 40,000 passengers use it every day. The station is a busy hub during early morning hours and passengers in large numbers use the toilets. The problem should be tackled as soon as possible.
