Is K VAT & Service tax payable for deposits?
Q: Is K VAT and service charge payable to builders for deposits like 1) Water & Electricity Charges, 2)Generator, 3) Initial Sinking Fund, 4) First year Maintenance Charges.

Latest Answer: As as far i know VAT s 4% and Service tax is approx 5% of the total cost of the flat (Unit Price, Car Parking, Power/Water, Generator, Club etc whatever you pay to the builder). This does not include maintenance.

Q: 1. Amount in Rs. Per square meter for betterment charges in a private layouts. 2. Does area for calculation of betterment charge include common areas, like roads, park, etc.?

Latest Answer: It is a new layout and comes under the jurisdiction of BDA.
