Q:What is the word on the CM's latest policy on illegal encroachments in the city? What steps are being taken to counter this. On my last visit to Hyderabad, I saw that this problem still persists on a major scale. I hope the new CM will sort this situation out soon
Latest Answer: The Chief Minister has decided to come down heavily on those occupying government lands worth thousands of crores in Hyderabad and neighbouring Ranga Reddy and other districts.
Q:Moving to Banjara Hills colony, near the Jalagam Vengal Rao Park. You guys know anything about this locality? I’ve heard that there are some issues here.
Latest Answer: Yaar, not just the park entrance, because of this blockage, the main roads are also getting jammed. Its all these motorbikes that park here, the four-wheelers at least follow the sign. The traffic cant flow properly, and it makes me late for work everyday. I have to leave like half an hour early to reach on time. There is supposed to be a fine, Rs 50 to Rs 200 for the law breakers who park there. But the cops are so incompetent; they hardly ever charge the miscreants with this fine. The SHO Uma Maheshwar Rao has said that they are looking into the matter, so maybe it will get better. Hope so!
Latest Answer: Hey guys, I’m assuming that you haven’t heard of the demolition that happened there. Yeah, the GHMC has just recently demolished 24 illegal constructions at the Gurukul trust funds lands. Another 125 properties have been red-marked as illegal constructions. The water supply and electricity connections have been disconnected to these unauthorized buildings. The GHMC are actually taking this whole situation very seriously, they are even organizing campaigns to educate people more on the issues of land encroachment and illegal constructions.
