Property tax hike on leased and rented houses
Residential properties in Hyderabad that have been leased and rented out by owners to other members will have to bear additional property tax rates.
The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) say that this is not a hike in property tax, however a rationalization of tax.
The recent field inspection by property tax collectors revealed that maximum of the property owners have declared their property as “self occupied” only to claim rebate of 40 percent in tax.
Now, it has been proved that the data base of the GHMC is faked by maximum of the property owners and the officials have demanded revision of the databased records.
