New bridge at Kollam
At last the construction of the new bridge at Kollam will start soon. The state government and the construction company finally settled the tender amount.
The lane required for the construction of the approach road has been acquired. The state has approved the payment amount as demanded by the landowners.
The Central Road Fund also promised to increase the allocated amount for the construction of the bridge by 10% more.
The construction of the bridge will be started within a week time after getting the work order, said an official of the construction company. The new bridge will enhance the living at Kollam.
The expected construction time is one year and timely completion of the project is expected by the government.
