Contaminated water supplied by Mumbai Civic Body
In Spite of repeated application and order by the Mumbai High Court, the residents of apartments in Grant Road, Worli, Khar(W) are getting contaminated water which cannot be used for washing hands.
Death of two women in Worli was reported who consumed the contaminated water.
An outbreak of waterborne diseases occurred in the society of Khar (west). Residents of about 65 apartments in Khar went through an ordeal when for several weeks these families received foul smelling, brown water.
According to the officials the old pipelines are causing these concerns as they are more susceptible to corrosion.
