BBMP vs illegal banners in Bangalore

The number of illegal banners can now be seen throughout Bangalore city.

Even the Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) is failing to remove or oppose the raise of illegal banners in Bangalore.

The BBMP officials say that the lawmakers are stopping them from removing illegal banners and boards.

This issue came into light when one of the BBMP official tried removing illegal banner put up by a pro-Kannada organization in Chickpet.

Followed up to this act BBMP officials were threatened by the organization members, stopping them from removing banners. The huge illegal banners and boards are considered to be defacing the city.

Witnessing this act, the chairperson of Karnataka State Pollution Control Board (KSPCB) criticized the politicians and corporators for themselves putting up the illegal board and banners.

Apart from this it has been witnessed that big heap of garbage is being piled up in the city because of dumped illegal banners. Now, it is BBMP’s initiative to pave proper system for dumping illegal banners and hoardings in the city.
