60 years old bridge dismantled in J&K

Zorr bridge‘, later changed into ‘Zero bridge‘ was dismantled in Jammu & Kashmir.

The bridge lost its ability to carry vehicular traffic. Hence vehicle transportation over the bridge was stopped two decades ago.

To preserve the local sentiments about the heritage structure, the government planned to construct another wooden bridge in the place.

The bridge was serving to the residents of many apartments in city centre Lal Chowk, and holds lot of memories of their childhood.

The government decided to replace the bridge to improve the traffic situation in the area.
