Disposal of garbage to be followed up in Goa
Goa finally has decided to put an end to garbage issues which was prevailing since long time.
The Mapusa Municipal Council (MMC) has therefore decided to construct a garbage treatment plant at Cunchelim.
In the next two years a garbage plant is expected to start as MMC officials have acquired 32,000 sq m of land for the construction of the plant.
The municipality claim to have spent Rs 2.30 crore for the land acquisition.
To bring out the best facilities, the MMC councillors and engineers had recently visited garbage treatment plants at Kolhapur, Pune and Nashik to study their functioning.
