Another bridge will be constructed at Varanasi
The UP government will speed up the construction of another bridge over Ganga connecting Samneghat with Ramnagar.
The construction of the bridge had started in January 2007. But after the change in the political scenario of the state, the construction work was halted.
As the work is taken with urgency, the construction of wells for providing the foundation to erect circular pillars were completed. Construction of five pillars from Samneghat and three other from Ramnagar area were also completed.
This bridge will reduce the distance between Ramnagar and Varanasi.
